The 1 Flatbush building is located in the downtown neighborhood of Brooklyn, and the architectural language gives contextual reverence to this neighborhoods’ prior industrial past. The interior material palette reflects this industrial feel by using high contrast natural materials of metal, wood and stone, used in a modern application. The building is entered through a double-height entry vestibule of Carrara marble with a custom blackened metal and brass chandeliers. The lobby and amenity spaces are fitted with the same materials, blending both the interior design aesthetic and architectural language of the building façade. Amenities include a lounge, demonstration kitchenette, game room, gym, and a roof terrace.
We collaborate with our affiliated architecture firm, Hill West to create holistic buildings that are as thoughtfully designed on the exterior as they are on the interior.
