New York City-based and award-winning interior design studio, Whitehall Interiors, is seeking a Senior Interior Designer. We are seeking candidates that are pro-active, creative and organized.
About the Role
The candidate will be leading the design alongside the Design Director for multiple projects. They will be involved from space planning and concept through CA phases. We are seeking passionate, hands on and highly motivated designers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design alongside the Design Director for multiple projects.
- Involved from space planning and concept through CA phases.
- Complete drawings and details by hand and in REVIT.
- Contribute to overall drawing sets for Concept through Design Development phases.
- Think out of the box, work efficiently on multiple projects within project budgets and schedules.
- Experienced with value engineering solution process.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal and management and mentor abilities.
- Strong organizational capabilities, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- 4-year Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
- 10+ years of post-graduate experience in the high rise residential NYC market
- Must have at least completed 5 high rise residential projects from beginning to end.
- Hotel design experience would be a plus
Required Skills
- Concept design and idealization experience, modern aesthetic, formulating project storylines, mood imagery and 3D sketching
- Excellent sense of custom interior millwork and stone detailing as it relates aesthetics as well as functionality and buildability.
- Excellent sense of color, finishes and materials, and design detailing.
- Experienced with FF&E sourcing both mid to luxury levels.
- Experienced at sourcing finish materials.
- Existing relationships with NYC vendors is an absolute must.
- Interest and knowledge in innovation and new products.
- Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator), AutoCad, Lumion, and Enscape.

Salary Range: 80,000-110,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
